I had been favorably impressed by Raymond and Autobody Express on two previous occasions, but hadn't ended up having the work done (in one case my car was totaled).  Finally, I had a need for some actual body work, and I can't recommend them highly enough.  Excellent quality work.  Also, Raymond successfully fought my insurance company to replace instead of repair one of my car doors.  While doing a big job, he'll do other small repairs without charging for them.  I don't think you can find anyone better.

We live three counties away from Ray, and I still drive over there when some unfortunate car related event occurs. He's come through again and again since my last review, so kudos to the man for long-term excellence.

Autobody Express is the only place I trust to work on my 911.  Raymond does amazing, top quality work.  He's more than just a "car guy," he's kind and reliable, and has an incredible "eye" for detail.  Highly recommend.  :)

I was originally referred to Autobody Express by another trusted, long time San Rafael auto repair business.  Based on my personal experience, with multiple Marin autobody shops over the last 35 years, Autobody Express is "hands down", without comparison the best and I've gotten similar responses' from the family and friends that I've referred to the shop.  Raymond has earned my trust that he will provide the most cost effective repair plan and deliver the highest quality results as well as being a pleasant and accommodating person to do business with.

If you need some body work, this is the place. Raymond is awesome. Work is great and reasonably priced. Any problem I have with my car, Raymond is always there AND happy to answer all my questions and directs me to other honest people like him. The absolute BEST!!!

These guys only work on one or two car's at a time taking their time and pride in their work. Unlike the extremely large mainstream auto body shops pumping cars out as fast as they can; not paying attention to detail. They will take care of anything you need. Raymond is one of the best auto body mechanics in San Rafael and takes pride on everything he works on. And makes sure all of his customers are satisfied before they leave w/ with their car done. He tells you how it is. No bull-Sh*t. I would never bring my car to anyone else. Oh and my father owned an auto-body shop in San Rafael for over 50 years and is now retired. I know almost every auto-body shop in San Rafael. Auto Body Express is your best bet and Raymond will beat any price quote you get anywhere else. He is perfect for reasonable cash deals without insurance or they can work w/ any insurance company. Just tell your insurance you want to take your car here no matter what. They have to listen to you.

I hit my coworker's car by accident and scratched the side of her nice ass Lexus pretty bad. The recommendation to use these guys came from my insurance agent, who said they were fair in price, as I was going to pay out of pocket.

Both Zack and Raymond were very accommodating. Zack actually drove over from his house to let me park the car after the shop closed. Zack is absolutely adorable so if you are reading this, holler! I'm kidding, sort of.

The quote was the same as the first place I took it to, but Raymond said he could cut some corners. By cutting corners I don't mean anything shady -- it was literally a paint job. The car looks awesome and I saved about $400 by not getting the Rolls Royce of paint jobs.

Even though I live in Oakland and this place is in Marin, I will probably use them again. I'm a terrible driver so I'm guessing I'll be back in the next 6-12 months.

Raymond was absolutely wonderful to work with.  He made sure all the necessary parts were in stock before bringing the car in, so not to have the car any longer than necessary.  He finished the car in lightning speed and repaired the car beautifully.  He even touched up areas of small scratches without being asked to do or that he charged for.  Truly a lost commodity in today's business world of integrity lost for a job well done.  He's delightful to work with and you knew the job would be done perfectly.  Thank you Raymond.  It was truly a pleasure to have worked with you!

RAYMOND IS AWESOME! I had a minor car accident in a supermarket parking lot and needed my bumper replaced. A friend of mine recommended Raymond to me.  He was honest and kind and did great work. And talk about customer service! Right after I made an appointment to go in, I injured my shoulder. I called to cancel because it was difficult for me to drive. Raymond told me not to worry, picked the car up at my home, and returned it the same day--repaired perfectly, like new! Thank you Raymond!

Great customer service! Raymond was quick to return my call and to get the work done. Oncethe parts arrived, the job was done in less than 24hrs. My car looks like new again - he even cleaned up a few minor scratches!
The shop is also conveniently located close to an Enterprise rental shop so it's easy to get a rental if you need one.
If I need work done again, I will definitely go back to Raymond!

I've used Auto Body Express several times over the past few years.  I no longer work in Marin, so it's a bit of a drive to get there, but totally worth it.  They sort of fly under the radar, but you can see from the types of cars that are brought in that this shop is highly regarded among auto aficionados.

Workmanship has always been good and usually done very quickly.  I like this shop and will keep coming back.
